Off with his quiff!
Posted on: Sunday, October 1st, 2006 at 12:11 PMIts been on the cards for several weeks now. I no longer enjoyed combing my hair the way Ive had for almost 15 years. The turned quiff has now gone.
When I went to my hairdresser and sat in the barber’s chair I felt pretty nervous and wondered if I would lose more than my quiff? Would I look like every other Glaswegian male with flat hair and not stick out like a sore thumb?
The hairdresser was kind of stunned when I told him its time cut it all off. He said that I would be in shock for some time as would my hair. I accepted this warning and he began to cut away Franz Ferdinand, Mark Lammar and Michael Jackson from my appearance.
A good number of gents waiting for their turn looked engrossed at the spectacle. So I still attract attention, even in a hairdressers.
The morning after I still have no regrets, Im looking forward to be up out of bed, and at work within 40mins, not 2hrs 40mins.
