Also, as a side note. How would you improve this blog by design and content?

A good podcast. Difficult to say. Usually, a podcast I like has something to say I’m interested in (Technology, Policits) or a good story. Important is the pronounciation and the intonation too.
You should add contrast or color to your design. Or better, both. ;-)

Certainly the design needs updating. Ive not had the time to sit down and edit the coding, but its on the to-do list..
