A few years ago I started to write a novel. However I only ended up at the end of Chapter One.

I’m not a literary genius. I’m better with music and creating sounds, so I could quite possibly be the world’s worst author in the making.

The novel I wish to finish is not autobiographical. However it does have influences from areas of life, but twisted into an unrecognisable mish mash that is a mix of humour, serious social commentary and fantasy. I wanted to do a Harry Potter for adults, with the imagery of Alasdair Gray.

Well. I struggled in finding a cohesive and plausible plot, so I gave up on the book and decided to return to it in my late forties/early fifties.

It does have a musical theme, but other ideas were ommited.

Well, go and read the first chapter. But be warned, I wont win prizes.

Nor will I find a publisher..
